The Notefile

“The beginning is the most important part of the work.”
Plato, The Republic

I have finally decided to start this orthodontic blog after much thought and deliberation.

My aim is to simply share personal notes regarding the art and science of Orthodontics, as well as to express personal thoughts regarding the profession and its practices and trends, as it stands today, and as it develops into the foreseeable future.

However, I strongly wish to point out that the views and opinions expressed here-within are not to be considered, by any means, as “truths” or “facts” – unless supported by evidence. This blog is merely my medium of expression and sharing of these thoughts which may or may not have consensus in the orthodontic or clinical community. However, I feel that getting them out in the open would help create a healthy debate and conversation that would improve on current ideas, and hopefully, aid in solving problems that our beloved profession has been facing, or may face in the future.

As such, all feedback and constructive criticism is welcome, and healthy, respectful debates are always encouraged, so that we may participate in actively advancing our profession and contribute to its – hopefully – brighter future.

“I wish to emphasize that neither myself nor this blog are affiliated with any particular company or technique, nor do we endorse any particular appliance or technique over another. The content of this blog is merely a collection of personal notes and opinions of its author – open for discussion and contention – and is not to be considered “evidence” nor endorsement of any kind. “
